Giving Back: New Years Goal (I know it's late)
So I have been thinking of ways to stay busy while I'm recovering from surgery and I have come up with my new years resolution. I have decided that I will make 50 scarves for Operation Gratitude to send over seas to troops during their holiday drive. It's a great organization that sends care packages to active service men and women. One of the many things in the packages is a handmade scarf and this year I want to really contribute to reach the 50,000 goal OPG has set. So I want to make 50 crochet scarves I'm pretty sure I can do it. So far I am working on the first scarf. haha

Hey Sammy! How's the scarf coming? I love this idea and may join you. Right now I've got so many projects going - I've got three friends having babies and I want to make something for each of them too. I have lot's of stashed yarn though and I'm teaching some students to knit scarves for charity so maybe this is where we'll send them!
ReplyDeleteAre you on Ravely? I just started a group called The Great Escape! if you want to join!
Omg sorry I just got this! I just finished my first scarf yesterday! Working on the second. Please please please send them to Operation Gratitude it's awesome! I love that you knit and you have some great projects planned. I am currently a scarf making machine. haha My family and friends wants scarves and hats. My Uncle wants a blanket...haha trust me I am swamped with projects. I am working on getting more yarn. :)
